How to use Draw Statisics There are many ways in which the theory and statisics contained within Bias 2001 can be used to highlight profitable bets. How exactly you use the book will of course be dependant on your own particular betting style and level of expertise. Here are a few suggestions however. 1. Blindly backing the favored draws. This does not require much research. Simply check the days cards and mark off any races which fall under the heavily biased categories as described in Bias 2001. Back all horses most favorably drawn within a particular race, odds permitting. 2. Refined Favored Draw Backing Instead of backing all well drawn horses you may wish to further refine the selections. For example from the well drawn shortlist you may wish to concentrate on only those horses with good recent form, those within the first 4 in the betting forecast, those with good speed figures or rated highly according to your own ratings system. With your help we hope to investigate further these approaches within the members area forum. 3. Forecasts and Tricasts. Again identify whether the days cards contain a heavily biased race condition. Then place a combination forecast or tricast covering the best drawn horses. This approach has produced some very large returns in the past. 4. The Chapter 7 System Simply back the chapter 7 system selections if you want a quick way of highlighting some decent value bets. More info 4. Draw Bias as an Additional Filter. Many of you will no doubt have your own methods of producing your own daily shortlist. Use draw bias statistics as a final and additional check before proceed to bet. Cutting out bets on poorly drawn horses will no doubt in the long run improve strike rates and increase profits. 6. Identify Horses Running Against the Draw. This approach is one I like to use my self. The basic principle is to look for horses that run well from a poor draw. For example a horse placing from a very bad draw could be well worth backing next time out if running on a more evenly biased course or especially if drawn well on a highly biased course. Keep an eye for such horses and put them in your notebook. Using such an approach I have devised a strategy which to date has produced some astounding results. These selections will be available to private members. 7. Laying Poorly Drawn Favorites This is also what I believe to be a great strategy. Internet sites such as BetFair and Play121 now enable you to play bookmaker and lay horses you do not think will win. Look for poorly drawn horses on biased tracks to oppose. Quite often you will find a hot pot selection at a short price drawn in an near impossible position. Lay them on BetFair or Play121 to earn.
